  china has protested president obama's plan for increased usa military in northern australia this week.

  i was just thinking, the usa is bankrupt and china has all the cash...not to mention 1 billion people!!!

  have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

  its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

  if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

  I have it on good authority that rather than phrase the scripture "won without a word" there was a faction of the NWT translation committee who wanted it to say "STFU Bitch!" but it didn't get the requisite 2/3 majority to pass.

  That's the ENTIRE POINT OF BRAINWASHING! You DON'T KNOW it is happening.

  I am so glad these "experiences" are made-up. I would hate to think people say such idiotic things in real life. (yeah yeah, I know they really do say such stupid things but the delusion that people aren't idiots gives me comfort, ok?)

  Neither of them look like anything approaching Ian Fleming though.

  Congregation Coordinator Disfellowshipped

  my sister just told me that the congregation coordinator from my last hall was recently disfellowshipped.

  his wife passed away within the past year.. all i know is that the first announcement was that he was no longer an elder.. and then a while later that he had been disfellowshipped.. he was quite prominent in the city where i live and he has been specifically named on this website at least once - if not twice.

  specifically, there was at least one post by 'dogpatch' where his name was mentioned.. just thought i would share..

  I hope he left of his own volition and isn't a perv. Please keep us posted. A conscious elder leaving is a good thing. A perv getting the boot makes the Borg look like it cares about abuse, which it doesn't.

  i got the idea from what harvey milk did for the gay movement.

  i am tired of hearing these stories about people staying jws while scared to admit they don't believe in it anymore.

  if you saw the movie milk, then you know the argument.

  I can see both sides of this. In fact, this is not a new idea. I and others have mentioned something similar several times.

  Though Black Sheep makes a good point, I think it would hurt the Borg more by becoming more and more public and organized with our opposition. He's correct that it probably wouldn't affect those IN in a way we would like because it would reinforce their perception of "opposers" and increase their paranoia that the enemy is in their midst.

  However, we could hurt the WT more overall by such public movements that would A)educate the public about the Borg, discouraging and reducing the number of converts; and B)educate the DFd, DAd, and faded ones who still believe it's "the truth" and are still living under a measure of cult mind control so that they never return to the cult.

  What I would like to see is a specific date set aside each year that faders and undercover dissidents who plan to leave that year, ALL leave on that same date. I wouldn't like to encourage any of the conscious class to leave before they're ready, for the reasons Black Sheep gives in this thread, BUT IF you are going to walk out on the Borg, why not walk out on the SAME DATE as the rest of the conscious leavers each year?

  I would suggest Nisan 14 as the date.
